The University of Maryland School of Public Policy Alumni Board's video and podcast series called Policy Dialogues discusses current events through a policy lens.
Episode 5 focuses on U.S. housing policy with Professor Michael Bodaken. Participants also included Raymond Nevo (‘20) and Evan Papp (‘11).
Michael Bodaken served as President of the National Housing Trust from 1993 to 2018 and was largely responsible for growing the organization in becoming a leader in the field of affordable housing and advocating for “Green Preservation” urging the targeting of resources for energy efficient affordable housing. Prior to joining the Trust, Michael worked for Mayor Tom Bradley as Deputy Mayor for Housing for the City of Los Angeles. Michael is also an adjunct in the School of Public Policy.

Episode 6 focuses on Leadership in State Government with Eric Luedtke, House Majority Leader, Maryland House of Delegates. Participants also included Evan Papp (UMD SPP ‘11).
Eric Luedtke is an associate clinical professor at the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park and serves as director of the school’s State and Local Governance Initiative.
Eric has served as an elected member of the Maryland House of Delegates since 2011. He currently serves as House Majority Leader, and has served in a variety of legislative leadership roles in the past, including as chair of the Education Subcommittee and of the House Democratic Caucus.
